Obituary of Karen Ann Ressel Kerley

Karen Ann Ressel Kerley, born January 29, 1946 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Houston, Texas to William Ressel and Mary Elizabeth Hahn Ressel,  died on the afternoon of October 7, 2020 in Houston, Texas.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 51 years, Michael R Kerley.

Karen attended Holy Name School and St. Pius X High School.

Karen loved people, she danced all her life, and she loved to paint and work in her yard.  She also loved to dress up, put on lots of jewelry and decorate her surroundings.

Karen was also an outstanding haridresser for many years and she loved to make everyone beautiful.  In her later years, she did secretarial work.

A Rosary will be held at 10:00 a.m. followed by The Liturgy of the Word at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman, Houston, Texas 77018.  All are welcome to attend either or both services.  Social distancing and mask-wearing will be practiced.

There will not be a reception after services due to Covid 19, much to Karen's regret.  "She loved a party.”

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Rose of Lima "Faith in Action.”
