John Thomas Scullin, born July 1, 1959, in El Paso, TX, to Patricia Anne Hodges Scullin and John Patrick Scullin, passed away on Wednesday, August 5th. John is survived by his brothers Michael and wife Audrey, of Washington, DC, and Patrick and wife Cheryl, of Austin, TX, his beloved nieces and nephews: Michael, Matthew, Ryan, Laura, Thomas, Sophia, and Joseph, great-niece Katie, great-nephew Liam, and many wonderful friends. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. John is a graduate of Eastwood High School in El Paso, and received his undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Texas at Austin. John was a successful CPA and corporate accountant for over 25 years, serving the banking, maritime, and oil/gas industries. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am, on Thursday, August 13th at Sts. Simon and Jude Parish of The Woodlands, with reception following the Mass. The Rite of Committal will follow at Forrest Park The Woodlands Cemetery in The Woodlands, TX. Donations may be made in John's memory to the MD Anderson Cancer Center (gifts.mdanderson.org), Kidney Cancer Association (kidneycancer.org), and/or American Diabetes Association (diabetes.org/donate).
