Your gentle face and patient smile, with sadness we recall. You had a kindly word for each, and died beloved by all. The voice is mute and stilled the heart, that loved us well and true. Ah, bitter was the trial to part from one so good as you. You are not forgotten loved one, nor will you ever be. As long as life and memory last, we will remember thee. We miss you now, our hearts are sore, as time goes by we miss you more, your loving smile, your gentle face, no one can take your vacant place.
Heaven's gain was our loss Anne. Missing you...
Love,
Joanie

My sincere condolences for the loss of your loved one. Find strength and comfort from God. At 2 Corinthians 1:3, 4 it describes God as "the God of all comfort who comfort us in all our trials". This promise assures the family that by turning to God you can receive help during this difficult time. The bible also promises that soon death will be no more Revelation 21:3, 4 and the hope of a resurrection John 5:28, 29.

Anne was my very best friend for over 22 years. We met at work and just became instant friends, maybe because we both came from the east coast or maybe because Anne just had that welcoming way about her with that smile of hers. She was the kind of person you just wanted to be around. She truly was one of the sweetest, kindest, friendliest and most thoughtful persons I have ever met. She was so giving of herself and never knew the word "No" when it came to helping people. She had such patience with our clients and they loved her so and always asked for her when they called. She always opened her home to folks at the holidays.
Even when she moved to New Orleans, we never lost touch and I visited her there several times. I was so elated when she moved back to Houston and eventually came back to work with me. She invited me over to meet her family members when they came to Houston to visit and to play "Clue" - such laughs. Such wonderful memories to always cherish.
After I retired, we still kept in touch, talking on the phone a few times each week, getting together for lunches, dinners, movies, plays, etc. I will so miss those talks and all her good advice and all the good times we had whenever we got together.
Anne drove with me to WV in September 2015 and I am so very glad we took that trip and had that time together. I will cherish my memories from that trip. It is still such a shock, as I know it is for so many, and my heart is heavy with such sadness.
My heartfelt condolences go out to Margaret, Charlie and Joanie. I hope you can take some comfort in knowing that your mom and sister was so loved by so many people and kept the friends she made for life.
Anne, my dear friend, I miss you so very much - you were taken from all of us way too soon. Rest in Peace dear friend in the arms of our Lord. You are now reunited with Pricilla, Michael and your parents.

Anne was a very dear friend of mine for years. Although she moved away later on, she always had a special place in my heart with cherished memories. When you saw that twinkle in her eyes and smile, you knew something was up! Guess how I got my ears pierced when I was 12? Yes, Anne took two trays of ice cubes, a needle and thread and off we went to Devoe Park. To this day, I always wear beautiful earrings. After that, we would go back to her house and make macaroni with butter and then head out to the Degan. Those are just a few of the fun and beautiful memories all the Cliffords had with the McMorrow family when they moved to Loring Place. Rest in peace, Anne and Pricilla. You are now with your parents and Michael. You will never be forgotten. Our condolences to Joanie, Charlie and Margaret.

My condolences to Margaret and family. Anne was my dear friend for over 40 years. During this time, we happily met at a yearly reunion with two close friends. As Anne and I lived in different parts of the country, I valued my innumerable phone conversations with her. I will deeply miss this dear friend.

Anne was a dear friend and a wonderful colleague from her days at Belco in New York. She was always so cheerful and a great fun to be around in the company of friends. It was a pleasure to meet her and Margaret when they visited New York many years ago. My condolences to Margaret and to other family members of Anne's family. Rest in Peace.

Dear Joanie and Charlie,
I'm speaking for all the Clifford's from Loring Place and how sad we are to hear about Anne's passing. She was always so sweet and a wonderful sister to you both. We have many memories of Anne hanging out in her bedroom at the end of Apt 5B. She was always getting little Joanie into some kind of mischief, all in fun. Eileen with Anne, Jimmy with Charlie & Michael, and me with Joanie. And, let us not forget little Christie, Mom and Dad. What a great time we had; what a special time it was. My heart hurts. After all these years, please know that we are and will always be the best of friends and are here to help you get through this difficult time.
Love,
Maureen Clifford-Hoatson, Eileen Clifford-Griffin and Jimmy (Clete)

To my mother, Anne Marie DeWindt, the most beautiful person who was loved by all and will be missed always
Mothers hold their children's hands for just a little while.... And their hearts forever.
I am sending
a dove to heaven
with a parcel on its wings
be careful when you open it
Its full of beautiful things
Inside are a million kisses
wrapped up in a million hugs
To say how much I miss you
and to send you all my love.
I hold you close within my heart
and there you will remain
To walk with me
throughtout my life
Until we meet again.

I have lost the best big sister the world has ever known. I wish you had only given me the chance to say "I love you" one more time before God made you an angel in heaven. You were my angel here on earth and I will miss you so very much. I love you Anne and thank you for all our fond memories that will always be in my heart. Until we meet again...Joanie
