Obituary of Thomas Lyle Armel
Thomas Lyle Armel was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 14, 1961, and passed away on November 22, 2017, surrounded by family in Atascocita, Texas. He was born to Lyle and Lottie Armel, both of whom preceded him in death.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Rebecca Baker Armel, their children Timothy and Jennifer Armel, and his children David and Daniel (Gina) Armel with his first wife, Marilyn Rockett Armel. With an open heart and all the love and care afforded to his children, he raised his step daughter Kasey Baker (Billy Joe) Parrish as if she were his own.
He is also survived by his step-grandson Konner Parrish; sisters Patricia (Craig) Marek, Sharon O’Donnell, and Leanne Armel; bothers James (Donna) Armel, and Joseph (Jessica) Armel. Tom was blessed with many nieces and nephews whom he loved and were such an important part of his life.
Tom lived for his children, who meant everything to him. He loved to travel, and he was always happy being outdoors camping, gardening, and fishing with his children. His kindness was experienced by all who knew him, and although he will be greatly missed, we rejoice in knowing he is in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Services honoring Tom’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at the Woodlands Church Atascocita Campus, 18111 W. Lake Houston Pkwy, in Humble. Tom will be laid to rest at Rosewood Cemetery in Humble immediately following the funeral.
