Dan McCarty, born on July 6, 1949 in Manhattan, Kansas to Dennis and Yvonne McCarty, passed away on December 24, 2017, in Houston, Texas.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John; and daughter, Alicia. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Cora; sons, Jeffrey, Danny, Jr., and Ryan; daughter, Megan; grand-daughter, Sammi; great-grandsons, Aiden and Paxton; five brothers; and a sister.  Dan is also lovingly remembered by Rose Mary Badami, Foundress of Magnificat House and fellow residents, staff and sisters.  Dan was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Joseph J. Earthman Generations, 234 Westcott Street in Houston, Texas.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am, Friday, January 5, 2018 at St. Joseph House (A Magnificat House property), 3307 Austin St., Houston, Texas 77004.
