Obituary of David W. Rhodes

David W. Rhodes, born February 28, 1945 to Dave and Naoma Rhodes in Borger, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on January 7, 2018 in Houston, Texas.

David was preceeded in death by his parents, Dave and Naoma, and his sister, Patsy Dial.

David is survived by his sons, David W. Rhodes and Phillip A. Rhodes; sister, Nancy Ward; neices J’Net, and Vivene and nephew Rodney Ward; brother, Ben and wife Dianna Rhodes; niece, Dawn Thompson McMinn; and nephew, Ben Rhodes IV; nephews Robert Lynn, Dallas and Jay Dial and niece Cathy Dial.

Most recently, David was a Vice President at Old Republic Title Company.  Growing up, David was in the band at both Amarillo High School and Sulphur High School, and was a cheerleader at NE Louisiana University. David loved Mardi Gras and Paris, France. 

David graduated from U of H Law School but was always a Longhorn at heart. He volunteered his time to the University of Houston Law Alumni Association for many years and served in many capacities. 

Memorial contributions may be made in David's name to MD Anderson Cancer Center.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Joseph J. Earthman Generations, 234 Westcott Street in Houston,Texas.
