Obituary of Robert Jankoski

Our loving husband, son, brother, father, and grandfather, Robert Jankoski went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2018 in Houston, Texas.  He was born in Staten Island, NY, on January 7, 1947, to Jean and Stanley Jankoski.

Robert served honorably in the Air Force during the Viet Nam era.  He was a passionate gardener and shared that passion with others.  He shared his love of baseball by coaching young men with the Johnson City Youth Baseball league for about 10 years.  He helped develop the USAA credit Union in San Antonio, Texas, and then went on to work in commercial banking operations first at Hancock Bank in Hancock, N.Y. then at NBT Bank in Norwich, N.Y.  At NBT he helped strengthen their ATM network.

He is survived by wife of 41 years Ellie; his four sons and their wives Tim, Randy and Hillary, Jeff and Francia, Alex and Jennifer; his cherished grandchildren  Kristen, Austen, Chase, Hunter, Lilly, and Oliver; his big sister Barbara and her husband Richard; his Mom Jean who turned 100 this year.

A memorial gathering celebrating his life will begin at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Joseph J. Earthman Generations, 234 Westcott St., Houston, Texas 77007.
