I WANT this to be a PUBLIC notice.
Fred Raible was the out-and-out KINDEST GENTLEMAN that I have EVER met. (I'm 60 now.)
I worked with Fred at the Fry Road Home Depot when we both worked for various sections of ARS under contract to Home Depot.
He was ALWAYS SO *NICE*, plain and simple.
I have missed him a GREAT DEAL since we worked 'together'.
I left the store for full-time work and he ALWAYS BACKED me. He was SO SWEET!!
I would go back by the store a few times before he stopped working and we always picked up where we had left off.
SURE WISH I could have more time with that SWELL Man!!

Beth, It's been many years since we have seen each other, but I saw the obituary in the Chronicle about the passing of your dad. I have fond memories of both of your parents, as they were always willing to let us hang out at your house during those junior high years when kids need supervision. Your dad was always so friendly and patient with all of us, and your mother was always there. I looked at your family pictures online, and you look the same as you did at St. Cecilia's. I am so sorry for your family's loss, but I know your father had a wonderful life with all of his girls and you will always have those memories of growing up in a loving home. I would love to see you again and hear if you have kept up with Abby, Eileen, Kathy or Davina. My parents are gone, but Doug and I live out in Cinco Ranch and I am retiring at the end of this school year. Please know that I am thinking about you and your family. Nancy King

Dear Beth,
Our heartfelt condolences to you and your family on the passing of your father. May our friendship help ease you through this difficult time. Your father had a kind and gentle soul who will forever remain in your hearts. Robert and I truly enjoyed the time we shared with him over the past 4 years and loved listening to his animated stories. We were both blessed to have known him.
Love,
Robert & Jill

I met Fred in the mid 1990's when I had a mortgage company. We hit it off perfectly, and had some good times, laughs, jokes and some serious in depth business conversations, as the business grew. I knew he had been a highly successful businessman and wanted to pick his brain, which he was glad to share.
Our relationship grew to more than just business though, and I thought of him as a surrogate Dad!
My wife and I had a 35th Wedding Recommitment Ceremony at Vargo's Restaurant, which Fred and Wilda attended. This was in December, 2007. During the event, Fred said he was surprised that there weren't 500 people there. I told him that we had only invited 30 or so of our closest people for a sit-down dinner that were the most influential in our life's. Later, he pulled me aside and asked privately, "Wes, Why am I here"? I explained that I had always thought of him more than a friend, and employee, but as a surrogate Dad! He immediately teared up, and said, "I never knew you thought of me that way, SON"! That made me smile then and now too!
Fred was a good man! He will be sorely missed, by me and many, many others!
Peace be with all!
