Obituary of Silas Zachary Steen

Silas Zachary Steen, born September 24,1996 in Houston, Texas to Georganne Hemphill and Thomas Steen, sadly passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018, in Houston Texas.

“Zach” as he was known by family and friends was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother Carolyn Shaw.

He is survived by his mother Georganne, his father Thomas, his sister Zoie and his stepfather Tim Hemphill. His uncles, aunts and many cousins.

Zach was a fun loving, true Houstonian. He was always a very good student and had attended Lamar High School. He enjoyed hunting and skeet shooting. Zach was also a licensed pilot and adored flying and was very adventurous. He loved to skydive and travel. He also enjoyed having a good time and a good laugh with all of his friends and family.

He left this earth so suddenly and tragically, at the tender age of just 21, but he lived his life with joy and wonder.

Zach was loved and will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 24 at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m., at Joseph J. Earthman Generations, 234 Westcott St., in Houston.
