Obituary of Robert Marshall McKissick
Robert Marshall McKissick, born March 8, 1961 in Austin, Texas to James Robert McKissick and Eleanor Muse McKissick, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 in Texas City, Texas.
Marshall was loved by everyone who ever knew him. He loved life in the most pure but unique way. Quick to laugh, slow to anger, Marshall was a joy. He loved the Boy Scouts, dancing, music, Batman, going to church, the Special Olympics, horseback riding, motorcycles, watches, flashlights, cheeseburgers and a cold Coke. Marshall was the center of our family, strong and stable, quick with hugs, and a “thumbs up.”
Marshall was preceded in death by his beloved paternal grandmother, Jimmie Lou McKissick, and his maternal grandparents, Marshall Muse, Jr. and Eleanor Gilbert Muse.
He is survived by his mother, Eleanor Muse McKissick; father and step-mother, James and Judy McKissick; siblings, Marcus McKissick, James McKissick and his spouse, Tisha; nieces and nephews, Caitlyn McKissick, Robert McKissick, Madeline McKissick, Claire McKissick and Samuel McKissick; in addition, his incredible friend, Chrystal Norton, who cared for Marshall so well the last few months of his life.
A funeral will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Joseph J. Earthman Generations, 234 Westcott Street in Houston, Texas. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont, Texas.
