Obituary of Wanda V. Malik

Wanda V. Malik, born July 17, 1921 in Ochelata, OK to James R. and Lilly Amy (Hook) Mullin, she passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018 in Houston, TX.

 

Wanda was preceded in death by parents, brothers and sister, Johnny, Billy and Maxine.  her husband, Frank C. Malik, daughters Patricia McWhirter and Sharon Myers.

 

She is survived by her daughters Georgia Watson (Jimmy), Mary Jane Malik (David LeBlanc) and Frances Lynn Malik (Cecil Cotten).

 

Her grandchildren Caroll Jean (Russell), Roy John, Wesley, Tamra, Annette (Gerald), Sarah (Rada), Stephanie, Ivy Jane and Corbin.

 

Her great grandchildren, Jason (Rachelle), Shelby (Kelly) and Diego.

 

Her great great grandchild, Dillon.

 

Wanda was a long time resident of Robstown where she raised her family and made many dear friends.  She was an active leader in 4H, a skilled seamstress and an avid cook known for pies and pastries. She retired from the U.S. Post Office serving as a rural mail carrier for many years.  She and Frank retired to Kent Stores, VA where she enjoyed gardening and was an outstanding quilter.

 

Funeral arrangements will include a rosary and visitation at St. Thomas of the Apostles Catholic Church, 16602 FM 624, Robstown, TX on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 6:30pm.

 

A funeral mass will be held in her honor at St. Thomas on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 9:30am, followed by inurnment at Memorial Park Cemetery, 4607 FM 1889, Robstown, TX.
