Obituary of Kellie Nichole McEvoy

Please share a memory of Kellie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Kellie McEvoy, born January 6, 1989 in Houston, Texas to John and Debbie Templet, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018.  She is survived by her parents, John and Debbie Templet; husband, Travis McEvoy; siblings, Mandy Montgomery and Travis Templet; and brother-in-law, Ryan Montgomery.  Additionally, she is a mother to three pups: Oliver, Tobie, and Rylie.

Kellie is an engineer for Occidental Petroleum Company, where she has touched many lives both in Houston and the areas around Midland.  She also has worked many volunteer hours helping to save the lives of dogs in the neighborhoods around where she lives in Houston with the Animal Justice League.  Her network of friends is vast, and she is always helping them with a keen ear, a sturdy shoulder, and a loving heart.  A former volleyball player, Kellie is a superb athlete and enjoys a very active life staying fit in a variety of different ways.  Her favorite setting is a brisk morning with a cup of coffee, a warm blanket, and good company out on her back patio.

She is missed by all who know her.  She is a blessing, and cherished by her husband, family, friends, and colleagues.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Sunday, October 28, 2018 at St. Peter's United Methodist Church, 20775 Kingsland Boulevard, followed by fellowship until 7:00 p.m. at Minuti Coffee, 505 South Fry Road, both in Katy, Texas.

A funeral service honoring the life of Kellie will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 29, 2018 at West End Church, 802 Shepherd Drive, just south of Washington Avenue, followed by a reception at 5:00 p.m. at Cottonwood, 3422 North Shepherd Drive, in Houston, Texas.

Kellie will be laid to rest in a private ceremony with the family at Glenwood Cemetery.
