Obituary of Constance Sue "Susan" Baxley Tate

Susan Tate, born February 22, 1943 in Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2018 in The Woodlands, Texas. Susan was preceded in death by her infant twin brother, Donald Baxley; her father, Charles Mac Baxley; her mother, Emma Elizabeth Baxley; and her son, Craig Allen Guthrie.

Susan is survived by her husband, Richard “Dick” James Tate; her brother, Ronald Baxley; her daughter, Jaynie McDaniel; her son, Geoffrey Guthrie; and her two granddaughters and five grandsons.

Susan was a devoted wife and mother. She was a loving Mimi to her seven grandkids, and often said she would live to be 100 years old so she could experience every stage of their lives. Susan looked forward to enjoying many years with her new husband, traveling, spending time in their backyard and on their porch, and caring for one another. 
 

A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 2pm at The Woodlands United Methodist Church, 2200 Lake Woodlands Drive, The Woodlands, Texas 77380.
