Obituary of Enrique Claudio Gutierrez

Enrique "Henry" C. Gutierrez, born April 5, 1942 in Freer, Texas, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 in Houston, Texas.

Moving to San Antonio at a young age, Henry enlisted in the US Navy upon graduation from high school.  He received his Bachelor’s in Business Administration from St. Mary’s University. 

As a marketing representative for Kellogg’s, Henry was transferred to Houston where he became actively involved in several community and church organizations.  Henry was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 2917 and a Fourth Degree Knight with Assembly 1094. 

Henry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Gloria; son, Philip; grandsons, Alec, Jason and his wife, Karina; and great-grandson, Nathan.

A visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m., with a recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 607 East Whitney, in Houston, Texas.

A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m., Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Assumption Catholic Church, 901 Rose Lane, in Houston, Texas.

The Rite of Committal will follow at the VA Houston National Cemetery.
