Obituary of Carolyn Lorraine Postell

Carolyn Lorraine Postell (Pritchard), born October 31, 1957 in Charleston, South Carolina to Carl and Lorraine Pritchard, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, March 17, 2019, in Houston, Texas. 

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Lorraine Pritchard, her dogs Bella, Nick, Josie, and cat Izzy.

She is survived by her partner and husband of 28 years, Michael (Mike) Hudson, of Charleston, IL., brother, Carl Pritchard, Jr. of Orlando, FL, sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Hobert Lolley of Clarksville, TN, niece, Amy Walter of Clarksville, TN, as well as 8 great-nieces and nephews, and beloved pets Annie, Ziggy, Sissy, Bubby, Maggie, Monkey, Daisey and Jim-Jim.

Carolyn was a beautiful, hard-rockin’, cat, dog and Halloween-loving free-spirit. She loved music, especially, Marilyn Manson, NIN, The Beatles, Linkin Park, and Drowning Pool.  Carolyn was employed at Kroger for over 30 years and a UFCW Union member. 

Following her wishes, there will be no funeral service.  A memorial will be held in her honor on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Joseph Earthman Generations, 234 Westcott Houston, Texas.  Following cremation, Carolyn’s ashes will be scattered at her favorite childhood place, the majestic Angel Oak on John’s Island, South Carolina. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to any pet rescue.

Thank you to all who loved and cared for Carolyn.  She will be dearly missed by all of her family members, friends, pets, and fellow Kroger co-workers.
