Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Morris Cangemi; grandson, Tony Cangemi; and sister, Ernestine Faust.

She is survived by her four children and their spouses: Ronald W. (Ron) Cangemi (Marie), William O. (Bill) Cangemi (Carolene), Brenda Cangemi Fink (Chuck), and Gerald G. (Jerry) Cangemi (Joanna); her grandchildren: Jeanna Lemasson, Jeremy Cangemi, Joel Cangemi, Will Cangemi, Garrett Cangemi, Leslie Cangemi, Katie Cangemi, Clarion Cangemi, Ryan McAlister, Lauren Andrews, Tyler McAlister, and Scott Cangemi; 15 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.  Jean loved spending time with her family.

Jean was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and was very active in her church, the last being Sawdust Baptist Church in Spring, Texas.  She taught children’s Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and her special favorite, minding the children in the nursery. She and Morris also took part in the Chuck Colson prison ministry.

Jean’s life will be celebrated with a graveside service at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 7, 2019 at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery in the The Woodlands, Texas.

The Cangemi family would like to thank all of the caretakers who cared for Jean at the Village on the Park memory care facility in Houston.
