"The lessons learned from Uncle Glenn's kindness and sense of duty have proven indispensable to me. As a child, he provided me with a piglet from his own litter for which I was responsible for the feeding and care of. Somehow Glenn found time in his own schedule to help me raise that piglet to a hog and was there each and every time I needed him. Whether the piglet had escaped his pen, needed a nose ring, or had to be castrated, Glenn was there. He patiently explained to me every step of the process until the day arrived when we took that mature hog to market. It was bitter sweet. The pain of losing my pig friend was overshadowed by the pride I felt in pleasing my Uncle Glenn. He sat beside me at the sale barn as the auctioneer solicited bids for the fine hog that we had raised. Afterwards we celebrated our success with an ice cream cone from the local Dairy Stripe. I don't remember exactly what I did with the money from that sale, but I'm sure I didn't waste it. Generosity, responsibility, and the consequences of our actions are just three of the many lessons I gleaned from that experience. I am certain that I could not have had a better teacher or have learned those lessons so thoroughly in any other way. I am forever in Glenn's debt and so fortunate to have had his guidance. With great love. respect and admiration, Tim Raygor"

"My uncle Glenn was a tender-hearted, respectful, loving father figure for me in my teen years; I so appreciate his gift of flowers and chocolates on several Valentine's Days . . . . I also especially remember his gift of a pet pig --- Elsie, whom I loved. Uncle Glenn and Aunt Marlene cared much for my mother and my siblings and I as we made a new home in Iowa - watching over us; sacrificing for us; and giving in many ways! I am thankful for their presence and care then and always. May their souls rest in the peace of our Lord Christ Jesus. Ann Raygor"
