Amos T. Tyson was born in Brownwood, Texas on April 18, 1928 to Amos and Pearl Tyson. He passed away at his residence in Houston, Texas on May 20, 2015 at the age of 87. Amos grew up in Albequerque, NM and served in the U.S Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Memorial Drive United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas and was an active member of their stroke support group and played the accordion in the kitchen band. He is survived by his wife, Faye Louise O'Day Tyson, son Kelly Tyson and wife Donna, son Lloyd Tyson and wife Ginger, daughter Cindy Bechtel, step children Carolyn O'Day Norton and husband Tom, Don O'Day and wife Gerry, Garland O'Day and wife Mary Lou. Amos was a loving grandfather, step grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather to numerous loved ones.
