Obituary of Jeanne Mathews

Jeanne Ann Mathews, born December 10, 1946 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Richard and Helen Hobbs, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2015 in Houston, Texas.
She is survived by her son, Richard "Kelly" Mathews and his spouse, Kelly Southard Mathews; daughter, Stephanie Katherine Christine Mathews, from Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Georgianna Mathews, Flower Cho, and Abigail Cho from Houston Texas; and her sister, Patricia Riley, from Rapid City, South Dakota.
Jeanne grew up in Nebraska and South Dakota prior to moving to Texas in the early 1970's. She worked both as a stay at home mom and as Director of Volunteer Services at Doctors Hospital in Conroe, Texas. In her early 40's, Jeanne was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis which had a devastating impact on the remaining years of her life. The incredible fight that Jeanne waged against MS aided her in her final battle with pancreatic cancer.
A reception with the family will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Joseph J. Earthman Generations, 234 Westcott, Houston, Texas 77007.
A private, family burial will be Friday, June 19, 2015 at Glenwood Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
