How I wish I could be with you all today to celebrate Henry and what he did for his world.
Henry will remain with me always. In my heart and mind he will continue to speak to me. I was so very privileged to get to know Henry and to work with him when he volunteered at Holocaust Museum Houston. His capacity for learning, vision, and hope for humanity resonated in everything Henry did. It was indeed an honor to know this amazingly gifted, empathetic, and wise young man who served his world so graciously and valiantly.
Your memory, Henry, is for a blessing. You will remain a mentor to me. To each group with whom I work as time goes on, I will introduce you and the things that you taught me about being a strong, resilient, and kind human being.
The image I have shared is from Yad Vashem, in Israel. It shows a tree planted for a person who is recognized as a Righteous Among the Nations, a person who saved a Jew or Jews in need during the Holocaust. I always wanted to take Henry to this special place of honor, for had he lived during this time, I believe he would have been a rescuer and an upstander for the rights and lives of others, as he was in his lifetime.
May you rest, and as you do so, may you work on with energy, insight and peace, brave young man.
With love and respect,
Mary Lee Webeck, Ph.D.

I knew Henry from scouts where my son was also a scout. We all know about Henry's exploits there. I am also a Kappa Sigma from Southwestern and had the pleasure to run into him in the fraternity house (quite unexpectedly I might add). Henry was gracious and excited to see an old face. I recently reached out to his pledge class and other members of the fraternity who knew him.
I received numerous positive responses. All wanted me to offer their condolences. They remembered Henry's smile and enthusiasm which they said was boundless. A pledge brother offered a story of how he had not met many people yet at school and was sitting alone at lunch. Henry came up to him and asked to sit down. They became friends and eventually both pledged to Kappa Sigma. He indicated that Henry was always there to help him.
All stories reflected Henry's "can do" attitude and positive influence on others. He will be missed at our fraternity and all us are blessed who knew him and interacted with him in Georgetown. Rob Lee

Betsy I am so sorry for your loss and my prayers go out to your whole family. What a cute little boy he was! I remember from the Caroline School. You obviously raised a very wonderful child...and amazing is an understatement!
I hold many fond memories of our days at the Caroline School. You were such a wonderful presence there and Henry was as well.
Much love,
Mary Lynn Hotz

We are blessed to have so many wonderful memories of Henry. Our favorite memories are of our time spent together in New York. That was truly the most amazing gift. We love you all dearly, pray for you daily and are thankful to have you in our lives.
