Obituary of Sr. Elsa Margarita del Nino Jesus de Praga
Sr. Elsa Margarita del Niño Jesus de Praga; Maria del Carmen Galdeano the eighth of eleven children in the family, born in San Antonio died peacefully at the age of 85, February 22, 2021 at UMMC hospital in Houston, Texas.
Sr. Elsa, entered the congregation of the Missionary Carmelites of St. Teresa on December 28, 1956 at the age of 21. Received her first vows on July 10, 1959 in Mexico City, and professed her final vows July 16, 1964. After her religious profession, Sr. Elsa served the Lord with ardent joy and zeal as a dynamic Missionary Sister, counselor and catechist in Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma.
We thank God for her existence among us, for allowing us to know and share this time with her, for her generosity in sharing her God given gifts as a Missionary Carmelite of St. Teresa (CMST). We thank you for being a missionary at heart, and especially for the passion with which you accompanied married couples and young people who were wanting to know our congregation. You will always be in our prayers and heart!
Sr. Elsa Margarita was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and five sisters. She is survived by one brother, Jesse Galdeano and sister-in-law (Dolores Galdeano); as well as numerous nephews, nieces, religious family and many friends who loved her dearly.
A viewing and visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 3:00 p.m., and Mass at 4:00 p.m. at Assupmtion Catholic Church, 901 Roselane in Houston, Texas.
