Fr. Gerald in 1997 at this 50th reunion event from Boston College held at the infamous Boston Fenway Park. Our boys, ages 2 and 3 had the best time hitting baseballs in the actual field that day. My husband, Uncle Larry, Aunt Rosalie, Sean Cuthbertson and of course Fr. Gerald were all so happy that day. It's uncanny how much Sean looked like Fr. Gerald in that photo. Thank you Fr. Gerald for that and many more precious memories. Love, Terry

Father Gerry,
I will miss you very much. You have changed my life and I cherish your companionship during mission work in Laredo and Costa Rica. It was a privilege assisting you for 10 years.
I always looked forward to your homilies because they were always connected to the readings of day and helped me better understand scripture.

If you met Father Gerry and you shook his hand then you knew what it was to touch a true disciple of Jesus. His love for and desire to help those in need through mission work will be greatly missed. We will miss Father Gerry as we strive to continue mission work through MMDM. God Bless your soul.

Fr. Gerry offered his life with energy and devotion to the cause of missionary service. He served as a leader in the Texas Mission Council, welcoming and accompanying countless people in service to the Texas/Mexico border, Chile, and other places in Latin America as an outstanding Maryknoll priest. Thank you, Fr. Gerry, for your tireless witness to the mission cause, for your smile, your committment to the young and pwerless. May you finally get to rest.

My sincere condolences to Father's family.
I met Fr. Kelly through Sending Out Servants 19 years ago. Serving on many mission trips to Guatemala, I came to know and love this gentle servant of God. He was always present in the moment with his fellow missioners and the Maya we served. If he was missing, he was having coffee or visiting with the Priest, Sisters or Maya families. He was always full of God's joy.
Fr. Gerry will be greatly missed by all.
I will enroll him in the Perpetual Mass program at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, Spring, TX. A donation will also be made to Sending Out Servants in his name.

I am so blessed to have known such a great man of God. He has touched my life in many ways. He is much admired and loved by many. He is now among the angels. May God grant his family peace.

My deepest sympathies to the family of Fr. Gerry Kelly, our most faithful and enthusiastic missionary of Medical Missionaries of Divine Mercy (MMDM), an inspired homilist, a fervent evangelizer among the Indigenous Indians, a wise counsel to our Board of Directors and Executive Committee, a great translator, a fun-loving dancer to Mexican songs, a nature lover, but above all a blessed, kind, and humble man. We love and miss him! May he Rest In Peace forever. God bless him and grant you the family peace and comfort.

An educator myself, I was blown away by Fr. Gerry's excellent teaching techniques of using viusals, toys and objects during his talks and homilies. He was a master at putting the points across and reaching to the heart of the matter, but more so to the hearts of everyone listening to him. He was a genuine Maryknoll Missionary Priest of Christ for the people and with the people. I'm so blessed to have been in his company when traveling to Laredo and at St. Laurence. Pray for us Fr. Gerry. Loved you.

We followed Fr Gerry's mission work with admiration. When traveling through Texas, we tried several times to visit, but he was away on a mission every time. WE participated in a Maryknoll Affiliate Webinar two weeks ago, we were happy to greet him virtually.
We pray his family finds comfort in the hope of Resurrection and with confidence rejoice in his eternal rest in Christ.
