Charles L. “Charlie” Fitzgerald III, born July 1, 1945 to Charles and Betty May Fitzgerald died peacefully on April 21, 2021 in Houston, Texas.

Charles L. Fitzgerald III, born July 1, 1945 to Charles and Betty May Tuffly Fitzgerald, died April 21, 2021 in his home in Houston, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Susan Fitzgerald; brother, Jerry Fitzgerald and Boyd Rich.

Charles is survived by his siblings, David Fitzgerald and his wife, Dale, Kathryn Fitzgerald Shramek, Denis Fitzgerald and his wife, Kim, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Charles was a 1963 graduate of St. Thomas High School here in Houston and earned a BA from The University of St. Thomas, and a MEd from the University of Houston. His professional career included Principal at St. Francis De Sales Catholic School, Counselor at Alief Elsik High School and Director of Guidance at St. Thomas High School, from which he retired.

A visitation with the family will begin at 2:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 3:00 p.m., and Funeral Service at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Joseph J. Earthman Generations, 234 Westcott Street in Houston, Texas.

Charles will be laid to rest at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
