Mary Therese Feeley, born on October 3, 1949 in Los Angeles, California to Robert and Mary Feeley, died on April 29, 2021 in Houston, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her loving husband, Robert Daniels; her son, Scott Daniels and his wife, Ruth Clark, and their children, Sophia and William Daniels; her sisters, Marie and Stella; and her brother, Thomas.
Mary grew up in Manhattan Beach, California. She earned a BS in nursing from UCLA and an MA from California State University, Dominguez Hills. She taught nursing at Sacramento City College and at Russell Sage College. But Mary’s passion was art. Fifteen years ago, she realized her long dream and opened the Hutson Gallery in Provincetown, Massachusetts, representing abstract and representational artists. Mary was active in the Provincetown Gallery Stroll, Provincetown Art Association and Museum, and was a student at the Glassell School of Art at MFAH. She enjoyed painting but was primarily a gallerist who encouraged the beginning collector and wanted the art to speak to and capture the potential buyer. She enjoyed travel, museums, and visiting with her grandchildren, other family members and friends.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 6, 2021 at All Saints Catholic Church, 215 E. Tenth Street in Houston, Texas.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Sisters of the Holy Cross, Development Office—Saint Mary’s, 407 Bertrand Hall, Notre Dame, IN 46556-5000.
