Obituary of Nimeh Dahu Khalaf

A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Nimeh Dahu Khalaf, born February 19, 1939 in Ramallah Palestine passed away on July 9, 2021 in Houston, Texas.

After her marriage in 1960, Nimeh arrived into the United States where she started her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and treasured her family and embraced every moment with each and everyone one of them.

Besides spending time with her family, Nimeh enjoyed needlepoint, Hallmark movies and traveling. She also had a strong faith in the Lord and loved attending church.

Nimeh was preceded in death by her loving husband, Nesrallah Khalaf. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Ruby Exley and her husband, Chris Exley, Charlie Kalef and his wife, Julie Kalef, Lori Cowen and her husband, Sam Cowen, Johnny Khalaf and his wife, Karen Khalaf, and Randy Khalaf and his wife, Leslie Khalaf; as well as her grandchildren, Elena, Nicholas, Andrew, Alyssa, Joseph, Paul, Sophie, Kacie and Savannah.

A viewing and visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., followed by the Trisagion Prayers of Mercy at 7:00 p.m., Monday, July 12, 2021 at St. Anthony the Great Orthodox Church, 7202 FM 2920 in Spring, Texas.  The funeral service honoring the memory of Nimeh Dahu Khalaf will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 13, 2021, also at St. Anthony the Great Orthodox church, followed by a procession to Brookside cemetery in Houston, Texas.

Nimeh will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. May her memory be eternal.
