Obituary of Frank D. Jameson
Frank D. Jameson, 88, born in Livingston, Texas on September 16, 1932, died on August 9, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Charlene; and his three children, Frank E. Jameson and his wife, Libby, his daugher, Melina Noto and her husband, Douglas, and his daughter, Margaret Cailleteau.
A retired bank executive, and lover of fine art and literature, Frank and Charlene also owned and cherished a retail stall at a River Oaks area antiques emporium. Frank was an avid and accomplished golfer who achieved three holes-in-one during his lifetime. He most enjoyed playing with his dear friends Jimmy Burke and Sy Streller and was delighted to have played more than a few rounds with Houston legend Marvin Zindler. He and Charlene celebrated every birthday with Charlie and Millie Leyendecker as Frank’s and Charlie’s birthdays were only two days apart.
Frank and Charlene traveled extensively to St. Maarten, throughout Europe and to the Leyendecker’s wonderful home in Destin, Florida. They also enjoyed traveling with Gerry and Debbie Albright to Carmel, CA. Charlene wishes to extend gratitude to the warm and talented staff at Brennan’s for their many fine meals there and to the skilled chefs at Auntie Chang’s Dumpling House for their Peking duck! Fully aware that it’s always 5:00 somewhere, Frank also loved martinis and red wine.
Frank truly enjoyed entertaining guests with Charlene in their home. Dinner parties were a product of their loving teamwork and fueled by the wisdom of their friend Sonny Look who said, “Anybody can take you to dinner but you have to be invited to come into someone’s home.”
Frank was preceded in death by his parents Hazel and Frank E. Jameson, his sister Gloria Jameson and grandson Wills Cailleteau.
Along with Charlene, Frank is survived by his sister Cathy Wilson (Jarrett), his three children Frank Jameson (Libby), Melinda Jameson Noto (Douglas) and Margaret Jameson Cailleteau, seven grandchildren including Sean Jameson, Erin Jameson Ocker, Leslie Kamenszky (Pete), Lindsey Marzullo (Matt), Leanna Kruppa (Steven), Shane Cailleteau and Michel Lee Cailleteau.
