Obituary of Carol Lynn Barrett
Carol Lynn Barrett was born November 22, 1961 in Houston, Texas, to Mr. Booker Tee Barrett, Sr. and Mrs. Rachel M. Barrett. And, on Friday August 20, 2021 God saw fit in His infinite wisdom to call His child home.
Carol Lynn or “Cal Lynn” as she was affectionately called by all who KNEW and LOVED her was an individual in every way. She was introverted, loving, caring and kind. Carol Lynn loved her family with a love that was unending and undying.
Carol Lynn loved her baby Jerriee Lynn Barrett, she also LOVED her family, cooking, the Young and the Restless, and “HER” Dallas Cowboys!
Carol Lynn was met in paradise by her dad, Mr. Booker Tee Barrett, Sr. (B.B.), and her grandparents, Mrs. Tensie Wagner-Barrett-Wilson and Mr. Pete Moreno.
Carol Lynn was a Loving sister, aunt, niece, “Fur-Baby Mommy” to Jerriee Lynn, cousin, sister-in-law and friend. She had a sweet spirit with a side of sassy and a fistful of feisty. There are no truer words than to say to KNOW Carol Lynn was to undoubtably LOVE Carol Lynn!
Carol Lynn will be remembered for her wisdom, her truth in which she lived each and every day of her life, her leadership and ability to share the many “Life’s Lessons” she’d learned in hopes of helping others. She had her very own sense of style and no one LOVED wearing “bandanas” as much as she did, Carol Lynn will be physically missing from our lives, but never forgotten in our HEARTS! We will LOVE and remember her ALWAYS!
Carol Lynn leaves to deeply mourn yet forever cherish her Love, her memory and the time she shared with us here on earth: her mother, Rachel M. Barrett of Houston, Texas; her Baby-Love Jerriee Lynn Barrett; her sister, Tensie Rachel Barrett of Houston, Texas; her brothers, Booker Tee Barrett, Jr. and his wife, Brenda of Palestine, Texas; and Riasel Barrett of Houston, Texas, her eldest and very special niece, Annette Shannall Barrett of Houston, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
A home-going service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Joseph J. Earthman Generations, 234 Westcott Street in Houston, Texas.
