Obituary of Victor R. Arias, Jr.

Victor R. Arias, Jr., born December 12, 1936 in Houston, Texas to Victor and Selma Arias, died on Wednesday, September 29, 2021.

Victor was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lupe Arias, and granddaughter, Emma Anita Peterman.

He is survived by his daughters, Margi Duncan, Tina Arias Peterman and her husband, Mitja; son, Victor A. Arias and his wife, Denna; grandchildren, Elysse Arrington, Peyton Duncan, Hailey Arias, Victor Austin Arias, Logan Peterman, and Ava Peterman; great-grandchildren, Zella and Yvonne Arrington; and his sister, Ada Melchor.

Victor was a devoted husband, father, brother, son and father-figure to many. He and Lupe built an air-conditioning and heating business that was as much their child as their three children. From the business, Victor taught his children the value of hard work, stewardship and helping others. He loved God with all his heart and emulated Jesus as best he could. He ministered to many through his works, touched many, and was always willing to help. His legacy is in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Honored to serve as pallbearer are Victor A. Arias, Victor Austin Arias, Peyton Duncan, Mitja Peterman, Logan Peterman, and David Martin Melchor.

A visitation with the family will begin at 5:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at El Mesias United Methodist Church, 406 E. Rittenhouse Street in Houston, Texas.  Victor will be laid to rest next to his beloved, Lupe, at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
