I just found out today that Cindy passed away. My father was the butcher at her dad’s grocery store many, many moons ago and we just recently reconnected through FB. I had reached out to her and wasn’t sure I would hear back from her. Well, as I am sure her family and friends know, she had an had a big heart and did reach out. We spoke several times on the phone and she was so much fun to talk with and had a great sense of humor. I am shocked and sadden to learn of her passing. May she rest in eternal peace with all her family and friends in Heaven.

I have just now learned of the loss of Cindy, and am feeling so sad. We were classmates at SPX and UST, then after many years became Facebook friends. I remember her as being very cool and so much fun!
With my prayers and sincere sympathy to her loved ones,

Jean & Cindy’s Family,
We were saddened to hear of Cindy’s passing. Many days and nights were enjoyed working alongside her. She never failed to stop & chat and ask about our family, grandchildren particularly. We enjoyed hearing about her family back in Texas and her life here in Louisiana. She loved her family and talking about you all brought her great joy! We will always remember the friendship we shared. Praying for peace and comfort during such a difficult time. Sending our love,
❤️ John & Belinda Davi

We were both so saddened to hear the news of Aunt Cindy’s passing. Although we did not spend much time with her as children, we were lucky enough to make some wonderful memories with her in recent years. We will treasure our Thanksgiving visits to Cindy & Jean’s beautiful Covington home, and the especially wonderful Christmas Eve that we all shared here in Dallas when Cindy and little Valerie made Granny’s delicious fudge.
We loved getting to walk back stage at Aunt Cindy’s theater, eating at her favorite neighborhood restaurants, and enjoying The French Quarter with with real New Orleanians!
We will miss Aunt Cindy’s silly sense of humor and the kindness that she put out into the world.
Love,
Caroline & Valerie

Dear Jean,
I will always remember seeing Cindy walking Nadine or Blue right outside my house early in the morning. I would call to her and ask her to wait while I retrieved dog treats from my pantry and brought them out! I am sorry I will not be with you on Thursday. I checked the address and it is quite a distance from my apartment in Sugar Land. I drive as little as possible these days but please know you are in my thoughts.
Fondly,
Marilyn
