Obituary of Richard Alexander Corbett

Richard Alexander Corbett, born January 7, 1943, in Michigan City, Indiana, to Alexander “Jack” Corbett and Lilas Bickel Corbett, passed into eternal life on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, in Houston, Texas.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Lilas Corbett; sister, Sue Corbett Volk; and his cousin, Tim Corbett.  He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Corbett; son, David Corbett; daughters, Kathy Corbett, Mandy Click and her husband, Jason, Stephanie Bradley and her husband, Jacob; granddaughters, Amanda Anderson and her husband, Patrick, Alyssa Villalobos and her husband, Travis Patrick, Rebecca Villalobos, Andrea Miehe and her husband, Adam, Alexa Bradley and Emery Bradley; sister Judilyn Lisenbee and her husband, Paul; his aunt, Betty Corbett Kraemer; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Richard graduated from Elston High School in Michigan City, Indiana, in 1961, and graduated from Purdue University with an engineering degree in 1968.  He worked for Pullman-Standard Company, Hays Corporation, and Sullair in Michigan City, Indiana, and R.A. Peard Refrigeration in Houston until 1984.  He was the Refining Editor for The Oil & Gas Journal beginning in 1985, and later was instrumental in starting a fledgling magazine, Fuel Reformulation.  Richard was the owner of R.A. Corbett Engineering, providing refrigeration consulting services since 1995.
