Obituary of Michael George Boulos

Please share a memory of Michael to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Michael George Boulos, born October 20th, 1946 in Beersheba, Palestine to George and Madeline Franjieh, died on Thursday February 10, 2022, in Houston, Texas. He is survived by his wife Haifa Qumsieh, his children Omar, Alaa and Adi, and his grandchildren Michael, Maram, Zayn, Paul, and Joseph.

Michael was a dedicated member of the church and valued his family above all else. The first to graduate university in his family, he completed his bachelor’s degree in Egypt and joined Royal Jordanian Airlines in Amman, Jordan.   He fell in love with aviation, and over the course of the next 40 years he travelled the world in service of his work.  Michael enjoyed exploring new locales and befriending people.  He was proud of the fact that not only did he travel to more than 100 countries, but that he also had friends in all of them.  Michael’s ability to see people for who they are and not what they are supposed to be enabled him to work across aisles where others have struggled.

Michael dedicated his life to ensure that his family had all it needed to be successful. He was always proud and boastful of his sons and grandchildren. He will always be remembered by his wife and children as a hard-working individual that always put his family first in everything he did. Michael has touched many lives and he will be dearly missed by all.

Trisagion Prayers will begin at 5:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service on Monday, February 14, 2022 at St. George Orthodox Christian Church, 5311 Mercer Street, in Houston, Texas.
