Obituary of Thomas Richard Noser

Thomas “Tom” Richard Noser, 83, went home to be with the Lord on March 17, 2022.  Born in 1938 in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Tom was the third of six children born to Walter Peter Noser and Lillian Watson Noser. 

Tom was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who was very active in his church as a lector, cantor, choir member, member of the guitar music ministry, and the Knights of Columbus.  Tom served in the Marine Reserves in the early 60’s and was a structural draftsman for the early part of his career prior to running his own cabinetry and handyman business in the 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s.  Tom was a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) and was passionate about airplanes.  He loved designing, building, and flying remote control model airplanes and was an active member of his local RC Club.   Tom also really enjoyed sailing, fishing, and taking his family on camping trips in the Texas Hill Country and surrounding states.  In retirement, Tom loved spending time with his grandchildren, attending daily Mass at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Sugar Land, and volunteering at Sugar Land Methodist Hospital.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother Garnett Pickett Noser, and his siblings, John Noser and Jeanne Noser Streckfus.  He is survived by his wife, Roberta Bunch Noser; his children: Michael Noser (Christina), Jeffrey Noser (Lisa), Michelle Noser (Bill), and Eric Noser (Robin); his siblings: David Noser, Peter Noser, and Carrie Noser Peters; and 9 grandchildren: Kaitlin, Miles, Peyton, Ryan, William, Berea, Ethan, Chara, and Maci.

A visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by a Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, 705 St. Theresa Blvd., in Sugar Land, Texas.  A Celebration of Life will follow from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. in the Community Center.
