Obituary of Suzanne Sanders Christiansen

Suzanne Sanders Christiansen, born September 5, 1954 in Houston, Texas to David and Dorothy Sanders, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2022 in Houston, Texas.

Suzanne was a compassionate person with a lot of love to share.  She loved her family deeply and was always there to care for them.  Her grandson, Tyler, brought her immense joy and she was able to share many great moments with him.  She also loved dogs and was a foster for several years for the Texas Great Pyrenees Rescue.

Suzanne also loved to maintain a beautiful butterfly garden which brought her a tremendous amount of joy.  She had a passion and appreciation for music and nature – especially the beach. She loved to fish and watch Astros baseball games with her family. She had many long-lasting friendships that grew stronger over time. She loved to travel and make new memories with the girls as well as her close family. She was very gregarious, fun and upbeat and brought joy to all those around her.  She will be deeply missed.

Suzanne graduated from Sharpstown High School and worked in the energy industry for over 30 years.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her father, David Sanders and her sister, Karen Beach.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Christiansen and his wife, Gloria Christiansen; her daughter/niece, Natasha St. Cyr; her grandson, Tyler Christiansen; her brother, Glenn Sanders; and her mother, Dorothy Sanders.

A funeral service honoring the life of Suzanne will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 15, 2022 at Covenant Church, 4949 Caroline Street in Houston, Texas. 

Suzanne will be laid to rest at Glenwood Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
