Obituary of Ann Elizabeth Samperi
Ann Elizabeth (Sedita) Samperi, loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022. A native Houstonian, Ann was born to Louis J. and Mary Antoinette (Costa) Sedita on April 24, 1937. Ann was raised in the Roman Catholic faith, attending Catholic schools from primary through high school, graduating from Incarnate Word Academy in 1956. On September 2, 1957, she married the love of her life, Ciro Martin Samperi, and they shared 64 happy years together.
Ann began her career in the office with Cravens Dargen, and left years later to begin her vocation of raising her family. She returned to the workforce when her children were in junior high school, working first as a typesetter at Kwik Copy, and later in Accounts Receivable for Teledyne Mecca where she worked until retirement.
Ann enjoyed cooking wonderful meals for family and friends, bowling, crocheting, playing cards, trying her hand at different crafts, and was known to pull out the accordion upon request and play some songs. She was team mom for her daughter’s and son’s sports teams, Brownie Scout helper, and Cub Scout mom.
Ann served in the Funeral Ministry of St. Francis de Sales, and was also a Committed Adorer for Eucharistic Adoration along with her husband, Ciro. She was a Breast Cancer survivor for several years prior to her death.
Ann is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Marsha Samperi; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Jim O’Neill; grandson Joseph O’Neill and wife Sophie; grandson Christopher O’Neill; brother Joe Sedita and wife Natalie; brother Monsignor Vincent Sedita; sister Rosalie Sedita, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 1st at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 8200 Roos Rd., Houston, Texas 77036, with celebrant Father Wayne Wilkerson and concelebrant Msgr. Vincent A. Sedita. Rite of Committal will follow at 12:00 pm at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 8200 Roos Street in Houston, Texas.
Ann will be laid to rest at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
