Obituary of Alfred Nicola Salomon

Alfred Nicola Salomon (Fuad Salameh) was born October 26, 1921 in Santa Marta, Columbia and welcomed home by our Heavenly Father on December 7, 2022.  

He graduated from Quaker's Friends High School in Broumana, Lebanon. He returned to Ramallah, Palestine for a brief time where he used to perform and sing some of his songs on Palestine radio from Jerusalem.  He was a very talented musician playing the Oud, Piano and Tabbleh, as well as a charismatic dancer, especially when it came to the Tango.  

He immigrated to the US in the 1950’s and traveled all around the US as a salesman.  He eventually settled in Houston and opened up convenience stores with his brother, as well as investing in commercial property.  

He is survived by his youngest brother, Shawki Salameh and his wife Nina, 15 nieces and nephews - Samir, Nadeem and Nabil Salameh, Najwa Salameh Bateh, Laila Ankar Deeb, Raja Salameh, Carmen Salameh, Michael Zaglool, Gloria Zaglool Olivier, Janan Morris Yerby, Samera Morris Brabender, Laila Morris Mejlbo, Mimi Salameh Bajalia, Muna Salameh Saba and Monica Salameh Sackllah; 26 great-nieces and nephews as well as great, 10 great-great grand nieces and nephews, and one very special great-great-great grand nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicola Salameh and Badia Khoury Salameh; his 7 siblings – Elias N. Salameh, Julia Salameh Ankar, Wadie N. Salameh, Adelle Salameh Zaglool,  Carlos (Shurki) N. Salomon, Salwa Salameh Morris, Fadwa Salameh (Mother Germana) and his nephew Freddy Zaglool. 

In his lifetime, he left his indelible mark on so many friends and family, especially the nieces and nephews that he was a second father to.  We have cherished every moment with him and are grateful that God blessed us with the gift of his 101 year long life!  We love you always dearest Fuad and will keep you always treasured in our hearts! 

A visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m., Friday, December 16, 2022 followed by a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at St. George Christian Orthodox Church, 5311 Mercer in Houston, Texas.

Alfred will be laid to rest at Memorial Oaks cemetery in Houston, Texas.
