Obituary of Reno Kent Adams

Reno Kent Adams, born August 3, 1942, died at the age of 80 on February 8, 2023.

Reno was preceded in death by his parents, Genevieve (Swede) and Lester Lee Adams Sr., and his brother, Lester Lee Adams, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Angie Turnini Adams; stepdaughter, Kimberly Jarrell and her husband, William; and two grandchildren, Kylie and Keven; stepdaughter, Kerri Namoc; and grandson, Anderson Regent; and his son, Justin Adams; and three grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Julian, and Jaden.

Reno was born in Yates Center, Kansas, and was the second of two children. He graduated from Yates Center High School and proudly served his country as a member of The United States Marine Corps. in Vietnam before attending San Angelo State College.

Reno worked for Texas Instruments in Dallas before starting his business, Industrial Plant Contractors, which specialized in drilling water wells. He briefly returned to the workforce after retirement to work parttime for Enterprise.

Reno was an avid hunter, fisherman and lover of the great outdoors. He spent many weekends at his country property in Waelder, Texas where you would find him relaxing and smoking a cigar on the porch. He enjoyed family weekend campouts with the Exxon Boating & Camping Club for many years. In the 1990s, he proudly participated on a few Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo’s World’s Championship BBQ Cookoff teams. Reno was also a loyal member of the Elks Brotherhood for 34 years, where he loved to call Bingo games.

Reno’s Celebration of Life memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge No. 151, located at 10150 West Airport, Stafford, TX 77477.
