Mass of the Resurrection
Obituary of Jose Briceno
JOSE “ELVANO” BRICENO, was born in Mérida, Venezuela on March 9, 1945 and passed away peacefully in Houston on February 22, 2023.
Jose Elvano is lovingly remembered by all his children: Jose “Cheo”, Maribel, Yoseline, and Desiree and by his grandchildren, grand grandchildren, brother, sister and many nieces and nephews.
He was an exemplary father and grandfather who leaves us with an indescribable emptiness, but also with great values and teachings such as love for God, an unlimited dedication to his family and a deep love for his loved ones.
His authenticity, perseverance, and resilience in the face of adversity did not go unnoticed and impressed all who shared his environment.
A man full of faith, who professed with humility. He was a devout Catholic and never missed daily prayers including The Chaplet of Divine Mercy.
Tireless worker with unwavering spiritual strength. Warrior, brave in the face of difficult times and faithful protector of his greatest treasure: the family, especially his children and grandchildren, who always count on his valuable advice and unconditional support.
A strong man who never gave up... because your passing was not a lost battle, for us it was and will continue to be from heaven the continuation of the greatest legacy you leave us: the greatness of your love and your faith in God.
The pleasant memories of the beautiful moments by your side fill us with peace, joy and smiles and help us cope with the pain of your physical departure.
Now you are in a wonderful place, taking care of us. You will remain our guide forever. We love you PAPA/Abuelo ❤️
Finally, the family would like to thank his amazing group of caregivers in Maracaibo, Venezuela and in Houston for their faithful and loving care of Jose Elvano the last year.
