Obituary of Thomas Graydon Dunlap

Thomas “Tom” Graydon Dunlap passed away on June 2, 2023, in Kalispell, Montana, with his family by his side. Tom was born on the 13th of April 1962 and grew up in Houston, Texas. After graduating with many accolades from The Kinkaid School in 1980, Tom attended the University of Texas where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and the Silver Spurs. While there, he graduated with honors and continued on to earn a doctorate of law. Tom later earned an additional law degree at The University of San Diego. In both Texas and California, Tom practiced law for many years and developed a successful residential real estate career.

Tom was an understanding, fun-loving, and optimistic father, partner, and friend. His enthusiasm extended to many interests, yet most of all, his dedication to his family. Tom’s love for Sarah and Darren knew no boundaries–as well as his devotion to their beloved pets, Ethel, Lucy, and Fiona.

Preceded in death by his parents, Susan Ray Dunlap Mayfield and Graydon Dunlap, Tom is survived by his partner, Darren McNeese, and their daughter, Sarah Dunlap. Tom is also survived by stepfather, Jack Mayfield, siblings and their families, Nancy Finan, Ellen and Will Ohmstede, Joanie and Jude Filippone (Ginny), Lydia Abbott (Taylor, Carter, Kristi, Steven), Trey and Denis Mayfield (James and Jack), Sheila and Tad Mayfield (Walt and Mike).
