Dorothy D. Bisby, born August 3, 1929 to Oliver D.and Anna F. Harriss, died peacefully in her home on Saturday, June 3, 2023.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph B. Bisby and all her siblings, Anna Florence Harriss, Olive Harriss and Mary Ellen Holt.

She is survived by her four children, Joseph B. Bisby, Jr. and his wife, Donna, Mary DeeAnn Gabro and her husband, Gary, Stephen C. Bisby and his wife, Anne, and Martha Suzanne Caporusso.

Dorothy has ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

For seventeen years she was a missionary with The United Methodist Church serving in Zimbabwe, Africa. She was an avid quilter and crafter.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at St. Matthew's United Methodist Church, 4300 N. Shepherd Drive, Houston, TX 77018 on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 2.00 p.m.

Donations may be made to the Lydia Circle at St. Matthew's United Methodist Church.
