Charles (Charlie) Edward Sarao, born on October 6, 1946, died on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, in Dallas, Texas.


Charlie was preceded in death by his loving parents, Anthony Joseph Sarao and Sylvia Janicki Sarao; sisters, Mary Anna and Cindy Sarao; brothers, Anthony, James, and Nick Sarao, and niece, Christina Sarao.


He is survived by his former wife and very dear friend, Mary Sarao and daughters Caroline Askey and husband Mark, Valerie Molina and husband Jeff; his 2 grandchildren, Margaret and Valarie Askey; his sister-in-law Susan Sarao; and nieces and nephews, Stephanie Howell, Nicky Sarao, Ashley Gloriod and Anthony Sarao; great nieces and nephews, Savanna, Brynlee and Adalynn Gloriod, Nick, Shane and Reese Sarao.


Charlie was dearly loved by family and many friends for his kindness, generosity, and amazing sense of humor. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend for many years and his laughter will be greatly missed.


He attended Christ the King Catholic School from 1st to 8th grade and was a member of St Pius X High School’s graduating class of 1964.


Charlie served in Vietnam as a Medic in the U. S. Army where he received a Bronze Star with a V for Valor. He owned and operated Mr. Rooter then Drain Dr. for the past 50 years until his death. Charlie was a true Jokester who kept everyone he knew in laughter.


In Charlie’s spirit, please join us for a visitation starting at 9:00 a.m., with a Rosary at 10:30 a.m., followed by A Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4419 N. Main Street in Houston, Texas.
