Sincere condolences to the family. I am so very sorry for your loss. May God provide the necessary peace and comfort to your family and friends during this difficult time. Please remember these words of encouragement from the Bible: “ Jesus plainly told her: “I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.” —John 11:20-25.

Pops was a hero to us even before we were blessed to have him as part of our extended family. He swooped in and comforted my siblings and me as we grieved the loss of our own father almost 20 years ago. I will never forget how grateful I was for his kindness and direction. And then, I was blessed to know him as my dear sister-in-law’s sweet father! He came to Thanksgivings and family parties and weddings and we just LOVED having him there. He felt like everyone’s grandpa. What a charming, interesting, caring man. I feel his loss deeply, especially for his children and grandchildren. He leaves a big hole here on earth, but there is a grand reunion in heaven. I can only imagine the joy.
