Have known Johnny all my life- our families were close friends and had relatives in common. He was a lovable character- sad to hear of this, but know he’s finally Home.

John was my friend since I was five years old. Our parents were friends and I remember the first time I was in the Norwood home and John showed me his room that had an oxygen tent that could extend over his bed. I knew then that this kid was special. He was funny, rude, kind, generous, abrasive, smart, witty, abrupt and very lovable guy. I will miss him dearly.

John David was the person I spent most of my time with in high school. He was a great friend, and we always found a way to have fun. We stayed in touch over all these years. Rest in peace my old friend.

Rest in peace, Johnny (John David)! You were one of the Palestine good ones and one funny guy. I remember well growing up with you at the Gragg homes!! I remember well your accident in Brazil and your cousin, Billy Gragg, sending a plane down there to bring you back to the Houston Medical Center for surgery and healing. You were both funny and blessed!!

To the family and friends
“May the vivid memories of love, laughter and fun times soon outweigh the pain of loss you are experiencing now for your loved one."
I knew John David from Palestine High School in 1963 as a fun loving and caring friend. RIP John.

I met John David as a child in Palestine Texas. He was one of the funniest guys in our class. He and his buddies were always game to make us all laugh. Last time I saw him was at a class reunion in 2013. He was still funny, cracking jokes, and very gracious. Rest in peace, John David.
