Obituary of Sr. Rosa Maria

Sister Rosa María was originally from Presa de Becerra, Querétaro.

She followed Christ in his filial and trustful communication with the Father as a Missionary Carmelite Missionary of Saint Teresa for 67 years. Sister Rosita, as we affectionately called her, fulfilled her mission of “living the friendship of the living God and helping others to live it through the generous giving of her life.” Among the virtues of Sr. Rosa María were simplicity and humility, joy and kindness. We will always remember her as a woman of prayer, kind, empathetic and very welcoming sister.

Her first apostolate was at St. Leo Seminary in Florida. Sister Rosita gave her life serving the Church in different seminaries, in the Mission and her last community was San José in Houston, TX.

We thank God for the life of Sister Rosita María, for giving her life in building the Kingdom of God as a Missionary Carmelite of Saint Teresa. We praise you Lord for the perseverance and faithfulness of our Sister Rosita Maria. May she rest in peace!
