John G. Pappas Obituary

JOHN G. PAPPAS, age 47, of Katy, Texas, fell asleep in the Lord on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. He was born on August 10, 1977, in Chicago, Illinois, and grew up in Houston, Texas.

He is survived by his parents, George and Stacy Pappas; his sister, Eva Paek; his brother-in-law, Larry Robey; nephew, Aidan Paek; niece, Zoë Robey; his brother Pete Pappas, and many more loving relatives and friends.

John was a beloved son, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. He always had a positive spin to even the most negative situation. He had a unique sense of humor. He especially loved and cherished his nephew and niece, and he would spoil them as much as he could. He worked in technology and telecom and was admired by coworkers, family, and friends for being an exceptionally tenacious worker. He was a man of few words but with a big heart. John occupied a place in our hearts that only he could, and we will miss him greatly. We are grateful for the gift of the time we had with him.

Services will be held at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 3511 Yoakum Blvd, Houston, TX 77006, on Thursday, September 26, 2024. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am - 10:00 am, with the Funeral Service immediately following at 10:00 am. The Trisagion graveside service and committal will follow at Katy Magnolia Cemetery, 6801 Franz Rd, Katy, TX 77493.
