Obituary of Ann Bertini
Ann Bertini, born August 4, 1936 in Galveston, Texas to Alonzo Howard Harter, Sr. and Elizabeth Marie Harter, died at home at the age of 88, succumbing to pancreatic cancer on Sunday morning, October 20, 2024.
Ann was preceded in death by her young son Thomas Joseph Bertini, husband John “Johnny” E. Bertini, Sr. and brother Alonzo Howard “Lon” Harter, Jr.
She is survived by sons John E. Bertini, Jr, MD, FACS (wife Karen Marie) and Christopher D. Bertini, Sr. and her grandchildren Juliana Marie Brown (Robert “Bobby” Lee Brown), Joseph E. Bertini (Courtney Bertini), Christopher D. Bertini, Jr., MD (Tasha Bertini), Matthew J. Bertini and Francesca F. Bertini.
Ann graduated from The Ursuline Academy, Galveston, married John Sr. and raised three sons John, Tommy and Christopher in West University Place, Texas.
Ann was active in the Charity Guild of Catholic Woman for hundreds of hours of service. She also proudly assisted the Knights of Columbus Council 10390 of St. Vincent de Paul Parish. She was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church.
Ann’s funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m., on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 3617 Milam Street in Houston, Texas. A reception with the family will immediately follow the Mass.
Pallbearers will be John E. Bertini, Jr, Christopher D. Bertini, Sr., Joseph E. Bertini, Christopher D. Bertini, Jr., Matthew J. Bertini, Robert L. Brown.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests charitable contributions to The Charity Guild of Catholic Women, Knights of Columbus Council 10390 or Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
