"Ken was an older brother, who always kept us smiling. I loved when ever we got to see him and Barbara. After he and Barbara married, my dad,Buck Gilbert, would run over and hug Barbara, and Ken would come hug me. It was a silly ritual that went on for years. Ken touched many lives, and we are all richer for knowing him"

"Ken Mason was a man that truly was a gentleman and just an overall great person. We talked every day about something concerning work and Ken would also take a little time to tell me about what was going on with his kids or grandkids and sometimes even send me pictures. In all the years I worked with Ken he never got upset (although there were times he should have) or lost his temper. In the steel business that is a rare person. Since he retired, I have missed our morning conversations going over what was going to work that day and what was not. My heart goes out to family and friends of this great man - he will truly be missed by all.

"The very best thing about being a salesman or sales manager, in the steel business, is the opportunity to meet and know people like Ken Mason. Ken was a proud father, dedicated and respectful husband and an exceptional businessman/purchasing manager. He was professional, knowledgeable, dependable, loyal, reliable, helpful and enjoyable-----just to point out a few of his many exceptional attributes. Most importantly, Ken was what we should all strive to be. A good person. I will miss him. Jim Bender"

"I had the privilege of working with Ken for many years as one of his steel vendors.
We spoke several times a week and I loved his sense of humor. The best way to start our day was to share a joke or a funny story. His laugh is something that I will always remember.
He spoke so much about his family that I feel as if I know his wife Barbara and his sons Stephen and Mark.
His grand children were so special to him. I never grew tired of hearing how they were doing. My prayers go out to Barbara, the boys and the grand children. May they always know how much "Papa Bear" loved them.
