Obituary of Dohrman Wright
Dohrman Paul Wright died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018, peacefully in the arms of his wife of 38 years, at home in The Woodlands, Texas.
Dohrman was born May 18, 1930, in Franklin, Pa., the son of Dohrman and Beatrice Wright. He was the oldest of four children. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Cleveland State University in Ohio, and he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He and his wife lived and worked for 30 years in the San Francisco Bay area of California. He spent his career in sales, and after retirement in 1998 he used his skills as a volunteer with SCORE, Parkland Hospital, St. Anthony’s Food Pantry and Memorial Hermann Hospital. He had a deep love for national parks, and loved to ski and travel abroad. He encouraged others to enjoy the outdoors, to ski and to travel.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Wright, at home; son and daughter-in-law Eric and Kendra Kirst of Larkspur, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law Eileen and Jay Edwards of The Woodlands; granddaughters Kate and Mary Edwards of The Woodlands; and brother Richard Wright of Parma Heights, Ohio.
No local services will be held, as per his wishes. His ashes will be scattered at a later date in locations in his beloved California.
