Rita had been an active member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church since 1971 and served as a Eucharistic Minister at many, many Mass services over the years.

She worked most of her adult life in clerical positions while raising three rambunctious boys and one precious girl.  In later life, she excelled as a legal secretary for many beloved Houston attorneys most notably, Charles Huebner and Ed Gillette.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and family matriarch. She was gracious and caring and everyone she met became friends for life.  She has left us with many fond memories of camping trips across the US and especially Texas. Her chicken and dumplings were out of this world.  Her family wisdom and work ethic set an example that lives on in everyone she touched.
