Obituary of Samuel Evatt Yeargain
Samuel Evatt Yeargain was born on October 5, 2003 to Susann Evatt and Scott Yeargain. He passed away on November 8, 2018 in Houston, Texas.
Samuel is survived by his parents, Susie Evatt and Scott Yeargain; step-mother, Mary Yeargain; brother, Andrew Yeargain; step-brother, Max Elliott; grandparents, G.T. Evatt, Bob Yeargain, and Patricia Yeargain; great-aunts and uncles, Carl and Martha Schumacher, and Ronnie and Maggie Poff; uncles, Bill Evatt, Steve Evatt, and Dean Fisher; aunts, Kim Evatt, Adine Rotman, and Jennifer Fisher; cousins, Tyler, Allison, Emily, Liam, Jonathan, William, Davis and Justin, and many, many friends.
Samuel was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. Samuel will be remembered for his kind, sweet nature and for his many talents. He loved animals and related to them all from horses to frogs and was able to calm animals just by being with them.
He was endearingly referred to as the “horse whisperer” at the stables. He spent years working with horses and enjoyed both English and Western styles of horseback riding.
He was a fisherman, craftsman and woodworker. His most recent project was a saxaflute that he was making from purple heart. He loved music and could play the piano, alto saxophone, tuba and accordion. He enjoyed art and was talented with both drawing and painting. Samuel was a hard worker and willing to lend a hand.
Samuel is loved by so many and will be missed. Rest in Peace sweet baby bear.
A funeral service for Samuel will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Covenant Church, 4949 Caroline Street in Houston, Texas.
