My husband Chuck and I met Bob when we moved to Houston in 2016 and landed right down the block from him. We really appreciated his quick wit, easy smile, genuine interest in and respect for others. I can remember many an evening swapping stories with Bob and sharing thoughts about what it would be like to live a simpler life….sorry you never made it to that beach in Hawaii buddy! Though it was for too short a time, we feel blessed to have known Bob and will miss him dearly. Our condolences to Kate and the rest of his family.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth and Chuck Teeter

Dear Bob, You were always filled with laughter and had a constant flow of sarcastic humor. Whenever you discussed "numbers" during our divisional meetings you always gave it that special "Bob spin." The team always looked to you for financial wisdom. We will surely miss that. Hope you're enjoying retirement on the golden golf course! Til we meet again...

If Bob had a comedy tour, I'd be front row in tears from laughter. Often he'd say something off the cuff only for me to realize the brilliance moments later. His humor and charisma was surely unmatched. Thank you for all the memories and making work a joy to come to. I raise a glass to you.
Cheers!

Bob was always quick with a smile and a joke yet always showed tremendous empathy for his fellow co-workers. I enjoyed working with immensely, counted him as a friend and will miss him greatly.

My condolences to the Jerome family. I know this is a difficult time and I pray God continues to comfort the family during this time of bereavement. May the many cherished and fond memories of Robert continue to comfort his family and friends. A comforting thought to keep in mind is at Revelation 21:4 "And he (GOD) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain will be anymore. The former things have passed away." May you all continue to have calming thoughts during this time.

I met "BJ", Bobby John Jerome years ago when I moved to Adams Center to teach. A super part of a great family. He had a great sense of humor and infectious smile and laugh. The last time I saw him was at Coach Bill Arthur's funeral. A life cut short. He will be greatly missed especially by his loving family. God bless. RIP BJ.

Such sad news to hear that Bob has gone. Way too young! He was a good, fun loving man, who led a full and happy life. He will be missed.

Bobby J will be greatly missed. I will cherish ALL the fun memories on Daniel Island. From cookouts and swim parties on Beresford Creek Street to gatherings in the hot tub on Creek Landing Street to fun in the cottage, Bob was always the life of the party. His wit and all the “Bobisms” put a smile on my face. Bob loved Kate, Lindsay, and Eric very much and easily accepted us as his DI family. I can hear his infectuous laugh now and I’m certain Bob is live-streaming FOX News in paradise. RIP my friend.

Hard to believe you’re gone, Bob... thanks for being such a fun part of our family. Always up for a celebration or a trip to Hawaii with all of us! I’m glad we did both many times. Love ya, Lu and Jesse

Bobby John was a unique character, loved life, loved his friends, loved all the people he met in the airline business, loved all the golf outings and most of all loved his family (Kate, Eric and Lindsay) and the many NY Jerome’s. He especially relished his caddying for Dave at the ATT and his annual outings at Cabo with Dave, LaB and the boys. He told me in confidence (which means in Jeromism, that he also told 20 other people) he wanted to take an around the world cruise! He wasn’t able to do it, but he traveled the world and left a lasting memory to everyone he ever touched. I don’t think he “left anything in the bag”, RIP my friend...
